12 oz. Egg noodles (medium width)
1 Cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 1/2 Sticks butter (room temperature)
1/2 Cup heavy cream (room temperature)
1/2 Cup hot water in which noodles were boiled
Salt and pepper to taste.
Garlic (if desired)
Boil noodles in 4 quart saucepan in salted water until tender. Do not overcook. Strain, add 1/3 of cream, butter, water, and cheese to noodles, mix. Add rest 1/3 at a time slowly. Mix all in gently. Toss noodles in hot bowl, Heat butter and cream.
Immediately Add Any of the Following:
small pieces of ham
