Ingredients:
Pastry for 1- 9” pie
1-14 oz. Pkg of Kraft Caramels ( 24 pieces)
2 Tablespoon water
4 Cups sliced, peeled baking apples
3/4 Cup Flour
1/3 Cup sugar
1/2 Teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 Cup margarine
1/2 Cup walnuts, chopped
Heat even to 375’ F. Have pie crust ready. Melt Caramels with water in a heavy sauce pan over low heat, stirring frequently until smooth. Spoon apples into crust. Top with caramel sauce. Mix flour, sugar and cinnamon: cut in margarine until mixture resembles course crumbs. Stir in walnuts and sprinkle over apples. Bake for 4o to 45 minutes or until apples are tender. Yields 8 Servings.
