1 Tablespoon cornstarch
Pinch of Salt
beaten egg whites
6 Tablespoon sugar
1/2 Cup water
Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and water. cook until clear then cool. Add to egg whites and beat well. Bake at 350’ F. for 12 to 15 minutes or at 425’ F. for 5 to 10 minutes.
2 minutes on high. Stir once and cool then follow traditional recipe as stated above.
Practically Foolproof Meringue
3 Eggs whites
Dash of Salt
1 Cup (1/2 jar) marshmallow creme
Beat egg whites and salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add marshmallow creme, beating until stiff peaks form. Spread over cool pie filling, sealing to edge of crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Covers one 9”-inch.
