Ingredients:
1 Cup Kellogg All Bran
3/4 Cup Crisco
1/2 Cup sugar, less 3 tablespoons
1 Cup boiling water
1 Cup lukewarm water
2 Packages yeast
2 Eggs (well beaten)
2 Teaspoons salt
6 1/2 Cups flour
1/4 Lb. Margarine (melted)
Combine All Bran, shortening and sugar minus 3 Tablespoons. Pour boiling water over, stir until shortening melts. Let stand until lukewarm. Add yeast to warm water and 3 tablespoons sugar. Beat eggs and add salt. Fold eggs into first mixture of all bran. Add yeast mixture. Beat with mixer on low speed, while still mixing bowl add 3 cups flour-mix thoroughly on low speed. Add 3 1/2 Cups flour by using spoon. Divide dough in half and knead until smooth. Roll out 1/4 inch thick. Cut into odd shapes. Dip in melted butter, stack into tube pan until 1/2 full. Let rise 1 1/2 hours. Bake 300 degrees for 10 minutes. Then 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
Tip: Mom says after kneading let dough rise once until double, punch down and then roll out.

This is a good soft dough recipe that can easily be made into a variety of shapes including cloverleaf rolls and crescent rolls. We've even use for cinnamon roll dough as well. It is an easy recipe to make, and very good.
