3 cups water
3/4 Teaspoon salt
1 2/3 cups old fashioned oats
2/3 Cup raisins
1/2 Cup maple syrup
1/4 Cup dark molasses
1/4 Cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1/4 Cup chopped walnuts
2 Eggs, beaten to blend
1/2 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 Teaspoon ground nutmeg
Milk or cream
Preheat oven to 350’F. Bring water and salt to boil in heavy large saucepan. Reduce heat to med. low. Add oats and cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Transfer oatmeal to 6 cup soufflé dish. Add all remaining ingredients except milk and stir until well combined. Bake until set-about 1 hour. Spoon porridge into bowls. Serve -passing milk separately. This may be served topped with vanilla ice cream and a drizzling of maple syrup. 4 Servings.
