Ingredients:
1 Cup sugar
3 Tablespoon all purpose flour
1/8 Teaspoon salt
2 Large eggs, slightly beaten
3 Cups milk
1 Teaspoon vanilla
1/2 Cup creamy peanut butter
1 (8 Oz.) container whipped topping
1/2 Cup unsalted roasted peanuts, chopped
6 Medium bananas sliced
1 12 oz. package vanilla wafers
Combine first 3 ingredients in heavy saucepan: Add eggs and milk, mixing well. Cook over low heat: stirring constantly, 25 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Spread about 1/2 Teaspoon peanut butter between 2 vanilla wafers, peanut butter and wafer layer 1/3 of peanut butter sandwiches in bottom of a 3 qt. bowl. Top with 1/3 of bananas. Pour 1/3 of custard over bananas. Repeat layer twice. Cover and chill. Spread with whipped topping. Sprinkle with peanuts. Yield 8 to 10 servings.
