1 (16 oz.) Can pears
1 (3 oz.) Pkg. lime Jell-O
1 (3 oz.) Pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 (2 oz.) Pkg. whipped topping mix
Drain pears, reserving juice. Mash pears and set aside. Add enough water to juice to make 1 cup liquid. Heat and add Jell-O, stirring until dissolved. Chill and slightly set. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add pears. Prepare whipped topping according to directions. Fold cream cheese mixture and topping into jell-O. Pour into a 4 cup mold and chill. Serves 6 to 8.
This is a frozen salad, that can be made ahead for a holiday meal. It is a tart cranberry sauce topped with a fresh whipped cream topping. It is spooned into a muffin tin lined with cup cake papers, and served in individual servings. It is a family favorite!
