Ingredients:
3 Cans beets (#303 drained... reserve the liquid)
1 Cup sugar
1 Cup vinegar
2 Tablespoons cornstarch
24 Whole cloves
3 Tablespoons catsup
3 Tablespoons cooking oil
1
Teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2
Cups beet juice
Dash salt
Mix all ingredients in pan and cook for three minutes over medium heat or until mixture thickens. Once cooled, store in refrigerator. Eat as vegetable or add to salads. Good over cottage cheese.
