Ingredients:
6 Oz. fresh or frozen green beans
1 Tablespoon balsamic or red wine vinegar
2 Teaspoon olive oil
1/4 Teaspoon salt
1/4 Teaspoon freshly ground salt
1 Tablespoon minced shallot
Using fresh beans: place steaming rack in a large saucepan with 1 inch of water. Bring to boil, arrange beans on rack and steam, covered, until crisp and tender, about 4 minutes. Using frozen beans: Thaw, but do not cook. In small saucepan over medium heat warm up vinegar, oil, salt and pepper until hot. Stir in shallot and cook until softened. about 2 minutes. In medium bowl toss green beans with vinaigrette to coat. Serve warm or at room temperature.
